Setting Up Your E-mail in Microsoft Vista Mail

This tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Vista Mail to work with your e-mail account.

This tutorial uses Microsoft Vista Mail, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft email software. You can set up other versions of Microsoft email software by using the settings in this tutorial.

  1. In Microsoft Vista Mail, select Tools > Accounts.

  2. Then click Add...

  3. Select E-Mail Account and then click Next.

  4. Enter the name you wish people to see you as in emails e.g Mr Smith or John. Then click next.

  5. Enter Your email address. e.g. john@domain-name.co.uk

    6. Vista mail pop3

  6. Then enter your email username. This is your full email address which is case sensitive then enter your password and check the remeber password box so you don't have to type it each time you check for email.
  7. Then Click the Next Button.

  8. If you don't wish to download messages now tick the box and click Finish.
