Editing your website using Microsoft Expression Web

  1. First, ensure that FrontPage Extensions are installed on your webspace. (See Knowledge Base, Installing FrontPage Extensions). These will be required to give the server the functionality it needs to allow Expression Web to edit sites easily and also for some Expression Web features, such as forms to run correctly.

  2. From the "File" Menu, click on "Open Site"

  3. In the "Site Name" box, type http://www.your-domain-name.com and click open. (Ensuring you replace your-domain-name.com with your actual domain name).

  4. You will then be prompted for your login details, these are specific to Expression Web/FrontPage. If you are unsure of these details please see Knowledge Base, Installing FrontPage Extensions. Enter the user name and password and click OK.

  5. Expression Web will now load your website files.

  6. From the folder list on the left you can double click any page to begin editing.

  7. To save your changes, click "File" and then "Save", your changes should now be live on the web.
